We Are Dartmoor

We Are Dartmoor is a joint project by Visit Dartmoor and Dartmoor National Park Authority to support and showcase local producers, artisans, services, trades, shops and community services in and around Dartmoor National Park.

Funded by The Princes Countryside Fund, the project allows free advertising for one year as businesses recover from the difficulties suffered during the pandemic.

We were asked to design and build a website that should prominently include on the homepage, the ability to see different categories of businesses and filter out results.

The website had to act as a database of registered businesses, with space for text and links to signpost to external websites.

The design of the site had to sit well within the ‘family’ of DNPA designed material and to relate visually to Dartmoor’s landscape and heritage. All typography, design elements, colours had to take into account appropriate visual guidance (such as RNIB).

The website had also to include an accessible search function that will list results as an alternative.
