Verity Nicholls pedigree

SUPERB GREY PEDIGREE DARTMOORS, RISING 2 YEARS FROM VERITY NICHOLLS AND GRAHAM COLTON

Three iron grey 2-year-old pedigree fillies (pictured below) by Merribridge Boss. They have all been halter broken and lead well but have had very little else done to them so will need experienced owners – but will make great ponies. Peek Hill Farm, Walkhampton, Near Yelverton

SUPERB PEDIGREE SHERBERTON YEARLING FILLIES

Sherberton Obi is very dark brown although she looks more black in the picture.   She is friendly and came to the halter fairly easily.

Sherberton Ostrich (Ozzy) is bright bay.  She isn’t the most confident and does like to hide at the back of a group but will come up and investigate people and want to be a friend.

Sherberton Odette is black (no recent photo at this time).

They have all had halters on.

Sire of all 3 is Pizwell Starlight, S2016/004.   He is by Shilstone Rocks Warlord and out of Pizwell Fantasy. Sherberton Obi is out of Sherberton Sash;

Sherberton Ostrich is out of Sherberton Dipper

Sherberton Odette is out of Sherberton Jessica.

All the mares run on rough grazing on the high moor of Dartmoor all year round with some supplementary feed in the winter making their offspring ideal for conservation grazing.   The fillies have all been haltered and could be brought on in a knowledgeable home to make riding or driving ponies.

Price as at 30/4/19 £250 each (inc. VAT).

Please contact Dru at DPHT on 01626 833234 or at admin@dpht.co.uk for more information.

hedgebarton little bright bay filly 2yr.

From a group of 2-year-old and yearling ponies from Tim Whitley and family at Hedgebarton farm, Widecombe

We have already sold 4 youngsters to a discerning buyer in Germany!

This herd’s foundation mares were pedigree and some of the current mares will be entering the Dartmoor Pony Moorland Scheme this year to enable female progeny over four generations to eventually rejoin the pedigree register with the Dartmoor Pony Society.

These ponies are some of the best grown we’ve seen, with good conformation and are excellent old-fashioned Dartmoor type.  They should mature to at least 12.2hh as several of the two-year-olds are close to that height already.

There are two 2-year old colts left (gelded 9th April so ready to go early May), three 2-year-old fillies and three 1-year old fillies.  A selection of colours – grey, bay, brown – and all should have great temperaments and the ability to do anything.  One colt, Thunder, is exceptional.  He is of pedigree quality but will be bigger than breed standard.  He will need sensitive and patient handling to go on to the next stage, but should be superb.

Prices on application – all sensible – contact DPHT in the first instance on 01626 833234 to find out more.  The ponies have had basic handling (though the yearlings will have a bit more before they are sold) and should be available in May.

Langworthy Peregrine

Pedigree foal by Lickfolds Sebastian, out of Langworthy Nuthatch.

Lovely well-grown colt, shown with his mother so well-handled. Nothing fazes Perry, he's happy whether he's following his mum or not. Very friendly, always the first to meet you in the field.

Has been to the Dartmoor Breed Society Show, Okehampton Show, Dunster Show and the Moorland Show achieving Best Foal at Okehampton and placings elsewhere.

His temperament suggests he should make a fantastic child's pony. £600 for this exceptionally lovable chap.

Available at weaning this autumn, but come and meet him now, with a view to purchase!
